Agent
Call the restaurant, say what you’d like to eat, and an AI takes the order — then puts it straight into the kitchen’s own system.
Restaurants miss orders every evening, simply because nobody can pick up the phone while the kitchen is busy. This phone agent picks up instead. A customer calls the restaurant’s normal number, says what they’d like — “two sandwiches and a large rice dish” — and talks to an AI that sounds like a person, understands them and writes the order down.
It works from the restaurant’s real menu, opening hours and pickup times, fetched fresh while the call is going on. So it only offers dishes that are really on the menu, knows what has sold out, knows the sizes and extras and what they cost, and picks the earliest time the order can be ready. It speaks Dutch, and switches to English without fuss when the caller does.
An order taken over the phone has to be right, so the agent works in two steps. First it adds everything up and reads the order back: the dishes, the name, the total and when it will be ready. Only once the caller has really said yes does it place the order — and that is checked by the system itself, not left to the AI. The order then lands in the restaurant’s own order system, exactly like a webshop order, and the kitchen has it straight away. The agent can only place new pickup orders: it cannot look up, change, cancel or refund anything.
On a phone call, silence instantly feels broken. Understanding speech, the voice and interruptions — you can cut in mid-sentence, like with a person — are handled by a specialised voice platform. The thinking is done by Claude, on the studio’s own server. Anything the agent can know in advance is looked up before it starts talking, and when it does need a moment, it says so, the way a person would.
The restaurant line is just one use. Underneath is a general-purpose agent that can be connected to almost any system through an API. A second line already runs on the same engine: it recognises regular callers by their number, checks a calendar, books or cancels appointments, takes down a problem report and emails it on, or puts the caller through to a person.
That is where it gets interesting for other businesses. Because the studio also builds the systems behind it — custom CRMs, booking platforms, webshops and back offices — the agent can be wired straight into them: look up a client in your CRM, open a ticket, schedule an appointment, check stock, or put an order into your till or ERP. Hairdressers, garages, clinics, law firms, rental companies: anywhere the phone rings with the same questions every day, an agent can answer — with a system behind it that remembers everything.
